Recover Vista Password Without Original Password
Windows Vista OS has an administrator account that controls all settings to the operating system. This is beneficial if you have a user account and forgot the password. Change the user account with the administrator account access. Change the password using the administrator account, so you can then access to the machine with the new password for the account registered.

Log in to Windows Vista OS using the administrator user name and password and the default password is blank. Click the Windows “Start” button and enter “lusrmgr.msc” into the text box. Press “Enter” to open user administration console.
Click the link labeled “Local Users and Groups” and then click “Users” This lists all the user accounts configured on Vista OS .
Right-click the user name you want to access and select “Set Password” This opens a dialog box where you reset Vista user password.
Enter the new user password and enter it again in the confirmation text box. Click “OK” to save your settings.
Restart the Vista System. Type the new user account password to access Vista account. This restores your Vista user account preferences and settings under your account.
